Our Activities

Our weekly programme has classes, clubs and activities that are for children from preschool age, through to young adults aged 16 and over.

Boys' & Girls' Gymnastics

Age 8+

Great for fitness and great fun. These gymnastics classes are for boys and girls with disabilities or additional needs, and are perfect for building strength, balance and coordination as well as developing discipline and social skills like turn-taking.

£30.00 for 6 week course

Monday 4.30 - 5.30pm

Activity Club

Age 8+

Come along and join in with activities like arts and crafts, baking, games, air hockey, scoot and shoot and more.

This club is a welcoming and accepting space for children with disabilities or additional needs where they can have fun and build friendships.

Monday 6.00 - 7.30pm

Dance, Music & Movement

Age 4+

Does your child love moving and dancing to music? In our Dance, Music & Movement sessions we use ribbons, hoops, balls and movement to help the children express themselves and have fun. It’s ideal to help improve coordination and concentration. Designed for children with disabilities or additional needs. Suitable for boys and girls.

Boccia, Bocce & New Age Kurling

Age 16+

All popular target games, bocce and boccia are games similar to French boules. New age kurling is like traditional curling but without the ice. Experienced players and complete novices with disabilities or additional needs, including wheelchair users, are very welcome. A great opportunity to socialise and be part of a fantastic team.

The Big Play

Preschool

For all preschool children, with and without disabilities, The Big Play lets them explore and enjoy our bikes, scooters, big lego, soft play, sensory room and more. A session to stay and play with your child, enjoy arts and crafts, messy play, music and singing, or share a story. The experienced teacher who runs this activity can offer support and advice if you’re worried about any aspect of your child’s development.

Wednesday 10.00 - 11.30am

Dance & Movement

Age 6+

Aimed at children with disabilities or additional needs, our Dance & Movement class is all about moving and dancing to music, with some gymnastics too. It will help your child with their coordination, balance and speech in a fun and engaging way.

Wednesday 4.30 - 5.15pm

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Age 6+

Aimed at girls with disabilities or additional needs, rhythmic gymnastics is a fantastic way to get fit and active while making friends and practising important life skills. We start from the very basics, using colourful ribbons, balls, hoops and ropes and learning routines to music.

£30.00 for 6 week course

Wednesday 5.30 - 6.30pm

Creative Art

Age 8+

This session is packed with art-based activities for children with disabilities or additional needs. Led by talented artist Sharon Smyth, we help your child find ways to express themselves through painting, drawing, clay and other mediums in a calm and relaxed space.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Age 11+

This more advanced class is for all girls with a disability or additional needs. We develop the skills learned at the beginner stage, using the ribbons, hoops, balls and ropes while learning more complex routines set to music. The sport combines aspects of ballet, dance and gymnastics and is a great way to keep fit and express yourself. We train gymnasts from intermediate up to international level in this class.

£30.00 for 6 week course

Wednesday 6.30 - 8.30pm

Social Club

Age 16+

Meet and make new friends in a relaxed atmosphere. Our Social Club is for young adults with disabilities or additional needs. A fun evening with a mix of activities suitable for everyone. Play pool, scoot and shoot, air hockey, Xbox and other activities. We also have film nights (with popcorn, of course!) and karaoke from time to time. Come along for a great night out.

Thursday 7.00 - 9.00pm

Young athletes

Age 3+

This is a fun, enjoyable class which helps improve physical ability, speech, language, listening skills and balance in young children with disabilities or additional needs. Through the use of fun equipment, music and action songs this class helps your child socialise with others and build essential skills.

Saturday 9.00 - 10.00am

Perfect for building on skills learned at beginner level, improving strength, balance and coordination, developing discipline and learning more complex routines.

Saturday 10.00 - 12.00pm

Pan disability Football

Age 7-11

For players with disabilities or additional needs, these fun and enjoyable sessions are provided by fully qualified FA coaches. Improve fitness, hone your ball skills and be part of a team. 

Football sessions take place at McLaren Street Multi-Use Games Area (CW1 3SP, opposite Hopes and Beams).

PAN disability football

Age 12-15

For players with disabilities or additional needs, these fun and enjoyable sessions are provided by fully qualified FA coaches. Improve fitness, hone your ball skills and be part of a team.
