Upcoming events
Hopes and Beams hosts an array of events each month to fundraise for our charity’s work with children and young people with disabilities / additional needs as well as senior members of the community.
VE DAY LUNCH
Thursday 8th May 2025 (12:30pm – 3pm)
A special VE Day Lunch in Poppy’s Restaurant, paying tribute to the VE Day generation on the 80th anniversary.
Includes a full traditional roast beef dinner (vegetarian alternative available). Jam roly-poly or apple pie and custard. Tea, coffee and wartime biscuits.
Live piano music and sing-a-long of classic wartime songs throughout.
Meal timeslots are available for 1:00pm and 1:30pm.

SPOKEN WORD OPEN MIC NIGHT
Friday 9th May 2025 (7pm – 9pm)
Poetry , Short stories, Monologues. A night to come together and share anything literary and explore creative ideas.
First-timers welcome. (No participants under 16yrs+)
Costs only £2 entry!

Music & dance night
Friday 16th May 2025 (7:30pm – 10pm)
An evening of entertainment performed by The Swinging Woodpeckers band and their singers.
Don’t be afraid to get up to move ‘n’ groove on the dancefloor!
Homecooked food available to purchase.
Feel free to bring your own wine and booze.
